GGBS stands for Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag. It serves an essential role in the modern construction industry by boosting strength, reducing cost, and enhancing sustainability.
GGBS is a byproduct of Iron manufacturing process, derived from the cooling and grinding molten blast furnace slag. It is high-quality, eco-friendly material used as supplementary cementitious material (SCM) in concrete production. GGBS can be used to replace cement by 30 – 70% on concrete.

Advantages of GGBS
Cost Effective
Reduces material cost by up to 30% without sacrificing performance and reduces overall project and maintenance cost
Higher Strength and Workability
Improves compressive strength over time, making structures more robust & gives smoother finish
Enhanced Durability
Improves the durability by making it more resistant to sulphate attack, chloride induced corrosion & alkali silica reactions.
Lower Heat of Hydration
Reduced thermal cracking in large concrete structures
